Axolotls are not described as bubble-nest builders in the reproductive account checked. Females lay jelly-coated eggs attached to underwater surfaces, including vegetation.
What was wrong with the old article?
It claimed that unnamed researchers had discovered egg-warming bubble nests, but gave no identifiable study. This conflicts with the documented account of eggs attached to submerged surfaces. The claimed discovery and repeated bubble-nest explanation have been removed.
Bubbles appearing in an aquarium do not, by themselves, establish that an axolotl has built a nest.
