The content review.
Inherited material must earn its place in the reference library.
Current review status
The original archive contains 2,595 articles and reference pages. A structural screening has covered every page. Screening is not fact-checking: 25 source-checked articles are published, including 8 new guides, and 1 article has been withdrawn. The remaining 2,577 inherited pages await a source review and are kept as unpublished drafts. They are not available in the public library.
Two different notices
“From the original library” means the text is inherited and unreviewed. “Source-checked revision” means replacement copy has been checked against the references listed on that page. Neither label means a vet has independently reviewed the page.
What we check
Care and health claims, species classification, numerical requirements, feeding advice, legal restrictions and research references need appropriate sources. Unsupported cure promises, unverified professional identities and inherited personal-testing claims are not acceptable evidence.
Sources and uncertainty
We favour veterinary references, welfare organisations, specialist institutions and original research. A manufacturer is a source for its own label, not proof that a product is safe for another species. Sources may disagree; unresolved questions should be stated rather than converted into certainty.
How the review is produced
The current research and editorial revisions use AI assistance. Source-check dates describe the checks actually performed; they do not certify the complete library or imply independent expert endorsement. Clinical guidance requiring specialist assessment must be referred to an appropriate vet.
Original material and corrections
Original exports are retained privately, with source URLs and dates. Replacement copy, the reasons for changes and the sources checked are recorded separately. Page dates are updated only when the content changes.
Commercial links
An affiliate link is not evidence. Unsupported treatment claims and related product promotions may be removed even where the link could earn a commission.
